Devine Campaign Raises More Than $115,000 in 60 days

At-Large Councilwoman exceeds fundraising goal

Today, At-Large Councilwoman Tameika Isaac Devine reported the campaign has exceeded its fundraising goal, raising $115,105.75 in the first quarter. This figure represents more than 650 people who donated. 

Devine launched her grassroots campaign in February 2021 and has amassed contributions ranging from $5 to the max of $1000. For Women’s History Month, Devine announced the support of more than 150 women who added to the campaign’s momentum.

  • First Quarter Goals: Councilwoman Tameika Isaac Devine raised $115,105.75, a record amount in individual contributions.
  • A Look at the numbers: More than 600 people donated, 70% of contributors giving $100 or less. 
  • Broad Base of Support: Devine has received grassroots support from retirees, attorneys, and small business owners. She also continues her listening tour, “Devine Listens Sessions,” across the city. 
  • Endorsements: With the support of local key political leaders throughout the state of South Carolina, the campaign announced Women for Devine, a group of more than 150 women who are supporting her campaign to make history as Columbia’s first woman mayor. Last week, Run Sister Run Political Action Committee announced their endorsement of Councilwoman Tameika Isaac Devine.
