Devine Kicks off Barbershop Tour at a Columbia Staple

Toliver’s Mane Event hosts Conversation with Men ahead of Mayoral Election

Toliver’s Mane Event, a barbershop on North Main Street has been a fixture in the community for more than 40 years. Herbert and Christopher Toliver, the father and son duo are longtime supporters of Tameika Isaac Devine. Friday, they helped kick-off the Barbershop and hair salons tour in Columbia. Reverend Dr. Charles B. Jackson, SR. of Brookland Baptist Church shared remarks and what it has meant to be Devine’s Pastor and Spiritual leader.

Devine had an opportunity to share her vision for Columbia and take questions from the audience of men. Devine believes the city’s leaders always need to be in close contact with the community. You can see media coverage of the event here.
